AFS Logistics will cut the ribbon on its new office building on Tuesday, January 3, 2017 at 5 p.m. The new headquarters is located on Ellerbe Road at Louisiana Highway 3132. The company is moving its offices from Beaird Tower in downtown Shreveport.
AFS uses industry leading technology to help more than 1,500 clients reduce costs for shipping freight and parcels around the world. Some of the company’s major clients include Target, Dell, Samsung and Cavenders.
The privately-owned and operated company opened in Shreveport in 1982. Today, it has more than 100 employees in Shreveport and another 150 employees at six other offices across the United States.
AFS has been on the Inc. 5000 list of the fastest-growing private companies in America for the past 3 years. It was also selected as one of the Top 10 Transportation Management Solution Providers in 2015 by Logistics Tech Outlook.
Owner and founder Brian J. Barker sees the new office building as a commitment to AFS employees and the company’s clients. His philosophy is simple, “Without great employees, we have no clients. Without great clients, we have no company.”
Employees will be available before and after the ribbon cutting to give a guided tour of the new building.
